Miss Fawcett is from Seattle, WA, but has lived in Portland, OR and Spain. She studied at the University of Portland and received her Bachelor of Arts in English and Spanish. She fell in love with education when she taught summer school in the Mississippi Delta. She also enjoyed teaching English in Spain! This will be her third year in education. Outside of the classroom she likes to run, read, write creatively, and eat cookies.
Miss Fisher is from Nashville, TN and moved to Memphis to study Theatre Arts at the University of Memphis. Her love for theatre is what originally got her interested in teaching. She has taught theatre in various forms to students of all ages since 2011. The 2017-2018 school year will be her second year with Green Dot Public Schools. Outside of the classroom she loves camping, hiking and being out in nature. She also loves watching television.
Ms. Fountain is from Fayette, MS and moved to North MS to begin her career. She attended The University of Southern Mississippi to attain a Bachelor of Science Degree in Exercise Science. She went on to attend Mississippi University for Women to obtain a Master of Science Degree in Health Education. After working in the health field for 4 years she decided to work on an alternative teaching certification in Special Education through The University of Mississippi. She began her teaching career in Mississippi while attending Arkansas State University to attain an Educational Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership. She has been serving students with special needs in both MS and TN and this will be her 6th year as an educator. Becoming an educator has been one of the biggest highlights of her life and she truly values her profession. Outside the classroom, Ms. Fountain enjoys spending time with family and friends, relaxing, traveling, and watching Netflix.
Miss Greenberg is from St. Louis and attended the University of Wisconsin- Madison to attain a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing. She got her start in education through Teach For America because of her belief in education equity. This is her first year in education. Outside of the classroom she loves playing basketball, hiking, and watching reality TV!
Mr. Lacy is from Tchula, Mississippi. He studied at the University of Memphis and attained his degree in Educational Leadership. He got his start in education as a 2nd grade substitute teacher. Outside of the classroom he enjoys reading, traveling and watching college football.
Mrs. Lewis is from Memphis, Tennessee and attended Millsaps College to attain a Bachelor of Arts in English. She went on to Grand Canyon University where she received her Masters of Education in Curriculum & Instruction. Lewis has been in the field of public education for 20 years and also devoted one year to Higher Education. Outside of the classroom she enjoys cooking & trying new recipes, being a basketball & tennis mom, and watching documentaries about the 90s.
Mr. Fedoroff is from Moldova and came to the United States to attend Florida International University, where he received his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. He also has a Master of Business Administration from University of Memphis. He joined Memphis Teaching Fellows in 2010, moved from Miami to Memphis and taught science, primarily chemistry and physics for the last 7 years. Outside of the classroom Mr. Fedoroff likes boxing, soccer, fixing cars, reading and spending time with his family.
Mr. Thomas is originally from Memphis, Tennessee and has been working in the field of education for 11 years. He got his start at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff where he developed his passion by majoring in music. Mr. Thomas has assisted in directing several high school bands, and was the lead director at Fairley High School during the 2016-2017 school year. Outside of the classroom, Mr. Thomas enjoys relaxing at home.
Mrs. Washington is from Marion, Arkansas. She studied at the University of Central Arkansas and acquired her Bachelor of Arts in English with a Minor in Special Education. She then went on to attain her Master’s in Instruction and Curriculum Leadership at the University of Memphis. She got her start in education in 2000 as a Special Education English Teacher. She wanted to help students who needed a little more TLC. Washington has been in the field for 17 years. Outside of the classroom she loves to spend time with her husband and children. She also enjoys watching game shows on TV.
